Ciencia y Religión

Tomado de ECOLOG list serv 12Mayo2010:

"My preferred definition is that science is about seeing the world as it is,
religion about seeing the world as we would like it to be.

A good example is the Copernican revolution. Copernicus and Galileo showed
that the earth was not the centre of the universe, but the church insisted
that it was and that man was god's favoured creation."

"It's not the transfer of information that's important, it's the the assimilation of information.  And assimilation takes place in the mind of the student."

Plan B para el calentamiento global

Nueva tendencia - nueva premisa:
imposible evitar el calentamiento global a corto plazo por retraso en la reducción de emisiones --> acciones para contrarrestar el aumento de CO2 deben tomarse ya. Pero la prioridad sigue siendo el reducir las emisiones.
